The Invisible Dream aims to facilitate a more nuanced national dialogue around the American Dream.
We are at a critical time in our nation's history, where both the ability to achieve the American Dream and an understanding of what it takes to achieve it are being called into serious question.
The GALEWiLL Center for Opportunity & Progress and Public Agenda are partnering on a new project, "The Invisible Dream: Creating a New Conversation on the American Dream." that hopes to help address these questions and foster a more honest and productive discussion around this critical issue.
The first stage of this project is the release of new research from focus groups and a national survey of Americans' beliefs about what the American Dream is and what it takes to achieve it. This research is presented on this website in the section, "What Americans told us". We have also included a photo gallery of pictures that people from around the country shared with us as representative of their American Dream as part of our focus group research.
With this information, we will continue with the development of products and tools to help improve the conversation.
